It is a day in mid-June of 2021 and I get a message from Michelle, a kind American lady, asking me if I was available to realize
some photographs of her daughter Michalea and her boyfriend Daniel, while they spend their holidays in Monopoli.
As a wedding photographer I really often get to these requests to carry out engagement or elopement in my city or around Italy.
The agreed day arrived I join them in the venue where they are staying, Villa Carenza. Here we start taking some photos...
Although very shy, with my empathy and sympathy they relax, we take funny pictures, laugh and joke together
Then we move to Monopoli to take some photos in the beautiful old town with contrasts between white and colors, lights and shadows
At the end of the couple session, satisfied with the result and the good time spent together, we say goodbye as if we known like friends...
Few days later the photos are ready, I send them and wait for the feedback ... it doesn't take long time;
they loved the photos, the guys are delighted to have a beautiful photographic memory of their holiday in Puglia.
Few weeks after that I get another message from Michelle: Michalea and Daniel would get married in February 2022
and they ask me if I was available to be the photographer for their wedding… in the United States!!
Initially I don't beleived to that, it was an incredible news for me, slowly the amazement gave way to enthusiasm.
In a short time I organize everything and make preparations to leave for the States. Being a wedding photographer allows me
to travel and to be able to organize couple sessions and weddings all over the world!
The wedding day arrives, the day was cold, there was snow, but in Ohio it is normal in February. Because I have attention to details
I start by taking photos of the dress, shoes, dressing and preparation of the bride and the groom.
Having a spontaneous reportage photographic style, I document everything that happens during the preparations
After the preparation we goes to the place of the ceremony, where Daniel awaits the arrival of Michalea. The first look is one of the most exciting moments!
After the ceremony we reached the place where Daniel and Michalea met for the first time, PitaPit, an American fast food chain,
in which we take some funny photos but very important for the meaning linked to their history, and where we also eat a pita together.
Really a romantic moment, all for them. Then we move to the venue, Nazareth Hall, for some more photos and to start their wedding party.
